Ragin Cajun Black Beans 16 oz

Just add water and you have Ragin Cajun Fixin's Black Bean Soup with a taste that can't be found north of the Mason-Dixon Line. This soup is a blend of selected black beans with vegetables and Cajun spices that is sure to become a favorite Cajun dish.

Preparation instructions

Remove seasoning packet from beans. Rinse and drain beans. Place beans in a 4 quart pot. Add 10 cups of water and stir in seasoning packet. Add meat, if desired (see options below). Beef or chicken stock may be substituted for water if desired. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, uncover pot, stir and simmer 2 to 2-1/2 hours (add water as necessary) or until beans are tender. Serve over rice. Options: Add 1 lb sliced sausage, cubed ham or other meat. Serves 8-10.
