Savoie's Andouille Sausage 16 oz
Savoie's Andouille Sausage is a hickory smoked Cajun pork sausage made for gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and other Louisiana favorites. It brings bold smoke, savory pork flavor, and a noticeable Cajun kick to the pot.
What Is Andouille Sausage?
Andouille sausage is a smoked pork sausage rooted in Cajun cooking, known for its bold seasoning, firm texture, and deep smoky flavor. It is the kind of sausage that gives gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice that unmistakable Louisiana backbone.
Savoie's Andouille brings that tradition straight to the pot. Hickory smoked and ready to cook, it is built for cooks who want real Cajun character instead of something mild, bland, or forgettable.
Why Cajun Cooks Reach for It
Some sausages sit quietly in a dish. This one does not. Savoie's Andouille brings smoke, savoriness, and a noticeable Cajun kick that stands up in hearty recipes and helps build flavor from the very first bite.
Flavor Profile
- Hickory smoked aroma
- Rich, savory pork flavor
- Noticeable Cajun spice
- Firm texture that holds up well in long-simmered dishes
Is Savoie's Andouille Sausage Spicy?
Yes, Savoie's Andouille has a noticeable Cajun kick. Most Cajun food fans would describe it as medium to hot. It is smoky, peppery, and bold rather than mild. If you are sensitive to spice, start with a smaller amount in your recipe.
How to Cook Savoie's Andouille
This sausage is ready to cook and should be fully heated before serving. Slice it into rounds, brown it in a pan, grill it, or add it straight into a simmering pot where its smoky flavor can work through the whole dish.
Gumbo
Slice and brown first, then let it simmer into the broth for deeper smoky flavor.
Jambalaya
Brown with onions, peppers, and seasoning before adding rice and stock.
Red Beans & Rice
Slice into coins and simmer with beans for smoky, savory Louisiana flavor.

I love that I can have this shipped to California and cook gumbo for my west coast friends.
This is just exactly what it is supposed to be - hot and delicious in many dishes! We will not buy other brands and are quite upset that our local grocery chain Publix no longer carries it so I have to get it from LA and have it shipped to FL If you don't like the heat then buy another brand.
When I cant make to Louisiana and get the really good stuff I buy Savoie Andouille.
Went out on a limb and picked this up. This is a great tasting Andouille. Not as hot as Thomas Ragin’ Cajun Smoked Andouille Sausage "Medium", so that is a plus. Works great for those that can handle light heat. I used it for my red beans and rice.
Cooked for a large group. All used to flavorable spicy cajun food. Way too hot to not have a "spicy" label. Not the first time I've had that problem with The products. Lot of $$ to spend with a group mess up
Only thing I can say is "I LOVE IT"
Original recipe is much to hot ???? ! Good andouille is well seasoned not that peppery
It needs a spicy label on the outside of the package. It is very spicy.
I regularly buy this andouille to use in making red beans & rice, and jambalaya. It keeps perfectly in the freezer, too.
I like this brand as it is consistently very good. However, be aware that the spices can be too hot for “hot spice challenged” guests.
I love the texture if this stuff. Larger chunks of meat than you'd normally expect in sausage makes it great. Another tasty addition to beans and rice, and another thing I no longer need to cram into my suitcase when I'm down there
Family favorite
Best tasting Andouille around
I am extremely happy with this brand they are consistent and reliable use them every time never have thought of using anything else .
